Jacob Banks was a contestant on Season 5 of XVoice. He was a part of Team Xboy, but was stolen onto Team Jay during the Knockout Rounds. Jacob was eliminated in 8th place.

Jacob Banks is an English singer and songwriter from Birmingham. Jacob became the first unsigned act to ever appear on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. Jacob Banks won the 2012 MOBO UnSung regional competition in Birmingham[2] and the Adidas "Are You In" music competition. His music is influenced by a range of genres including soul, R&B and hip hop. In September 2016, he signed with Interscope Records.

Kirk grew up in Alabama extremely poor and remembers times when there was no electricity, water or even food. At five years old, Kirk started playing drums at church and singing in the choir. In 2014, Kirk met a music manager who brought him to perform for Teddy Gentry, the bass player for the band Alabama. In 2015, Kirk started doing open mics and shocked the audience with his country sound. Word spread and bar owners started booking him. Currently, he travels the South with his band, Kirk Jay & Kuntry Funk. [1]
